Uma X Collaborations

Uma X Econyl
Econyl is a regenerated nylon from rescued waste such as fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring and industrial plastic from landfills and oceans. These residues are recycled and transformed back into its original pure property, creating new threads that are exactly like virgin nylon, which are then processed into textile yarn. This nylon has the potential of being recycled infinitely, without ever losing its quality. Econyl reduces the global warming impact of nylon by up to 80% compared with the material from oil.

Uma X Santa Constância
A CO2control fabric, with Oeko-Tex certificate, using compost and biodegradable processes, no toxic components, and a traceable production and water reuse from a partnership with SABESP (The State of São Paulo’s Basic Sanitation System). This fabric is produced with 6.6 Amni Soul Eco nylon, the first biodegradable polyamide fiber, being able to decompose in three years if discarded correctly on a landfill.

Uma X Dalila
Organic cotton fabric, where the fiber is cultivated without chemical substances and pesticides, eliminating harmful materials to human health and to the environment. Since it’s not exposed to strong chemical processes, it creates a stronger and purer cotton. It also receives an ecological dyeing process, free of heavy metals, with a plant based softener made from the cupuaçu oil.

Uma X Vicunha
This fabric has two certificates: Eco Cycle Less Water and Eco Cycle Recycle. Their techniques range from saving up to 95% water in finishing processes to lowering the use of virgin raw materials by using recycled fibers.

Uma X Macias
Fabric produced from recycled PET bottles.

Uma X Texprima
Fabric produced from used textile scraps that are crushed and reprocessed to become new fibers, without the addition of water or chemical products. To generate new colors, the scraps are combined with other fibers that already had a low impact dyeing (recycled pet, organic cotton, recycled nylon or cannabis, depending of the fabric in production). Industry employees and their families are benefited from a social support program.
